Yes, it’s a Nancy Pelosi two-fer today. A rare treat I know… kind of like an extra helping of spinach.

Do you remember how the people who have been exposed for vote fraud and other election chicanery always turned out to be Republicans? Me neither, but Nancy Pelosi does — and she smells an election year rat in the GOP’s pursuit of Eric Holder, who is apparently America’s last best hope for free and fair elections:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., declared that House Republicans are charging Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt of Congress not as part of an investigation into Operation Fast and Furious, but in order to weaken his ability to prevent voter suppression.

“They’re going after Eric Holder because he is supporting measures to overturn these voter suppression initiatives in the states,” Pelosi told reporters during her press briefing today. “This is no accident, it is no coincidence. It is a plan on the part of Republicans.”

If anything’s been getting suppressed too much this week it’s Nancy’s Thorazine.

Since we’re on the subject of suppression, do you think that for one second, somewhere in a distant corner of Pelosi’s singularly focused mind, it has ever occurred to her that Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata were voters too?
