One day at a time

We were told last night that there might not be containment of the Waldo Canyon Fire until July 16. Firefighters and first responders are working tirelessly.
Still no word on when or if we’ll get back into our home. More than 5,100 acres have burned. Three of four C-130s will be used today to fight the blaze.
We’re living out of bags and living day to day. The kids are troopers. So glad for friends, family, and this amazing community. The volunteerism and corporate/civic/private philanthropic generosity in Colorado Springs are overwhelming.
I’ll file my regular syndicated columns for Wednesday and Friday. Follow my Twitter feed for updates. Tune it to Twitchy for 24/7 news, entertainment, and political coverage. Thanks to Doug Powers for continuing to hold down the fort here.
