How desperate and dense are the Obama lapdogs at MSNBC?; Update: Obama blames Romney
| Tweet |

When progressives try to further explain President Obama’s collectivist “You Didn’t Build That” jab against entrepreneurs, they just make things worse.
Keep digging, Lefties!
Here’s MSNBC’s sad attempt to rescue Team Obama:
Mitt Romney has criticized President Obama for his “you didn’t build that line,” when it came to businesses. The president was making an “it takes a village” argument, which the Romney campaign and conservatives have roundly panned.
But in 2002, during his speech at the Opening Ceremonies at the Winter Olympics — the games in which Romney was lauded for turning around the management — Romney made a similar argument about Olympians.
“You Olympians, however, know you didn’t get here solely on your own power,” said Romney, who on Friday will attend the Opening Ceremonies of this year’s Summer Olympics.
“For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. All Olympians stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We’ve already cheered the Olympians, let’s also cheer the parents, coaches, and communities. All right! [pumps fist].”
MSNBC’s Maddow Blog piled on: “In retrospect, this is probably a quote Mitt Romney wishes he could take back.”
Why? Romney was paying tribute to the voluntary community and family support system behind every Olympic athlete. Obama was assailing individual achievement to advance higher taxes on business owners.
Romney was showing appreciation to the network of individuals who help athlete achieve their dreams. Obama was showing contempt for private entrepreneurs who don’t believe they should be punished with even more confiscatory government policies that hinder their success.
The most amusing part of the MSNBC hit piece? This:
For the record, the post did not originate with the Obama campaign but an NBC archive search.
Yep, just to make it clear: The Obama campaign didn’t need to tell NBC archivists to play gotcha word games with Romney to help the White House out. NBC’s “real reporters” did it all on their own!
Good lapdoggies. WOOF!

Obama takes revisionist matters into his own hands…and fails:
Twitchy sums up the story-teller-in-chief’s spin campaign: I didn’t say that. Romney made that happen.
