Remember in 2008 when Brian Williams asked then candidate Obama if it was true he was considering a white gaffe-prone buffoon for a running mate? Me neither. But Williams asked Mitt Romney something similar, and Romney was ready for it:
Brian Williams, the sonorous news anchor for NBC News, was reading from a script when he asked Romney, the Republican Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, if it’s true he’s seeking an “incredibly boring white guy” for a running mate.
“You told me you were not available,” Romney replied, laughing.
“Touche,” Williams said, losing the trail on that line of questioning.
Ouch. No bow for you, Mitt:
