The Goracle is obviously going for the distinction of being the first cable net to offer primetime convention coverage where the anchors outnumber the viewers, and I think he just might do it:
Former Vice President Al Gore will be leading political convention coverage for Current TV, the network announced Wednesday.
Gore heads up the progressive cable station, along with businessman Joel Hyatt.
The 2000 Democratic presidential nominee will be joined on-air by a mix of Current TV personalities, including: former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), “The Young Turks” host Cenk Uygur and former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D).
“I’m pleased to be participating in Current TV’s impressive line-up throughout the Republican and Democratic National Conventions,” Gore said in a press release.
For those who do try to watch, remember the rules: A shot of Red Bull every time Gore says “climate crisis.”
