Drudge has the no-link text up right now: SOURCES: Biden at GOP convention; Secret Service in Tampa say they are Biden advance — he’s coming Monday or Tuesday…
If true, the RNC might consider giving Romney/Ryan a boost in the polls by offering Joe a primetime speaking slot, or at the least close out one of the nights by showing a “Biden’s greatest gaffes” video.
Another rumor has it that the Obama campaign has charged the Secret Service with making sure the doorways in and around the Republican convention hall are wide enough to accommodate Biden’s latest retrofit:

Update: Rumor confirmed. Biden is about to make the Salahis look like sticklers for etiquette:
Vice President Biden will hold a rally with supporters next Monday in Tampa, Fla., on what will be the first day of the Republican convention.
The Obama campaign announced Monday that Biden would travel on Aug. 27 and 28 to the host city of the GOP convention for a number of events.
It would be an unprecedented move for a presidential or vice presidential candidate to crash a rival convention; the parties have traditionally allowed each other to take center stage during their convention week and used the time to raise funds and to rest.
Substitute “unprecedented” with “desperate” and the story makes more sense.
