Open thread: Hurricane Sandy

Lots going on today, and if you’re in an area affected by the storm, please take Chris Christie’s simple advice: Don’t be stupid.
I can’t add much to that.
Via Twitchy, here’s a photo taken in Ocean Grove, New Jersey — still well before landfall:

Consider this our open thread for storm-related discussion, or whatever else is on your mind.
If you’re in the storm’s path, be safe!
There will be lots of pictures, breaking updates and other info at Twitchy.
Other items for possible discussion this afternoon:
–The Labor Department says there’s no decision yet as to possibly putting off the release of Friday’s jobs report until after the election.
–Hurrican Sandy gives Bette Midler a chance to shill for Al Gore.
–Bill Clinton: Hurricane Sandy is “nothing compared to the storm we’ll face if you don’t make the right decision in this election.” No argument here, Bill.
–Bloomberg reporter: “Obama’s 12 hour trip to Orlando. … Most expensive pizza delivery in history?”
–President Obama said that if he wins a second term he’ll create a “Secretary of Business.” Only more federal bureaucracy can unleash the potential of America’s businesses.
–On the campaign trail, Joe Biden has been saying Republicans are counting on voters getting amnesia on November 6th. Yes, this guy is talking about amnesia.
–David Axelrod’s feelings remain hurt over the Des Moines Register’s “confounding” endorsement of Mitt Romney.
–Today is the 70th birthday of the late painter Bob Ross. I used to love that show.
