The Obama campaign’s use of Bill Clinton in their “return to the roaring 90′s” effort isn’t just rhetorical in nature — it extends to every aspect of the campaign, up to and including the choice of music.
Fox News senior White House correspondent Ed Henry describes the end of one such Clinton Obama rally:
Kid you not: Obama rally ends w/ Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” — old Clinton standby

I guess the theory is that people won’t stop thinking about tomorrow as long as they’re not allowed to stop thinking about yesterday:
An hour later, as Clinton’s theme song, Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop” blasted into the night air — the business of placing his two term Democratic legacy on Obama’s shoulders was complete.
The joint appearance was the latest effort by the Obama campaign to co-opt Clinton’s reputation for engineering a late 1990s golden age for the president as he fights for Democratic economic principles in a more austere time.
Part of the Obama campaign’s strategy is to convince people that the only way to get the economy back to how it was under Bill Clinton is to vote again for Barack Obama, the man who helped get the economy the way it is under, well, Barack Obama.
Clinton is doing four events for Obama on Monday. President Obama is just a prop at this point in the campaign, according to… President Obama.
Update: They’re running with the Bill Clinton thing way too much. So much so that now Joe Biden thinks Clinton is the president:
