Of course: David Gregory granted interview with Obama

You’d think that somebody currently under felony investigation for breaking gun laws by possessing a banned high capacity ammunition magazine would have a tough time being allowed anywhere near the President of the United States, but not in this case. NBC’s David Gregory has been granted an interview with President Obama (or maybe it was the other way around, who knows). Politico has more:
NBC’s David Gregory will interview President Barack Obama on this Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” reversing earlier news that the host would be on vacation.
Gregory’s exclusive interview with Obama comes in the final hours before the deadline for the looming fiscal cliff and is the president’s first since Sept. 20, 2009, during the health care reform fight.
Earlier this week, NBC News spokesperson Erika Masonhall told POLITICO that Gregory was on vacation and would not be hosting this week’s show.
What are the odds that Team Obama is only allowing the Gregory interview so the president can publicly scold the Meet the Press host about flaunting DC law on national television to score cheap political points? Yeah, I didn’t think so. If Gregory’s smart though he will get a presidential pardon lined up.
So, which law will Gregory break during tomorrow’s Obama interview? Place your bets.
Suggested topic for discussion during the interview:
Recent polling data show that the National Rifle Association has a higher favorability rating than both President Barack Obama and the mainstream media.
