NBC’s Chuck Todd: One must understand who owns guns and where they live

The intrepid Fourth Estate remains hard at work trying to root out people who were brazen enough to obey the law.
A Tweet from NBC’s Chuck Todd:

Oh, they know, Chuck… they know:

Thanks to the Journal-News’ handy map, there are now more illegal guns on the street. Apparently Chuck Todd supports this type of “journalism,” which can be added to the pile of exercises in counterproductivity that will do nothing except to ensure that criminals know where the guns are (and aren’t for that matter), and cause otherwise honest people to avoid registering their guns in the first place.
Coming up next on NBC Nightly News: Chuck Todd busts drivers who obey traffic laws.
In a related story, this is “you have to pass it to find out what’s in it,” New York gun law style:
A troubling oversight has been found within New York State’s sweeping new gun laws.
The ban on having high-capacity magazines, as it’s written, would also include law enforcement officers.
Magazines with more than seven rounds will be illegal under the new law when that part takes effect in March. As the statute is currently written, it does not exempt law enforcement officers.
Nearly every law enforcement agency in the state carries hand guns that have a 15 round capacity.
