Hillary Clinton’s testimony on Benghazi to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee began at 9 a.m. est. At 2 p.m. Hillary will testify in front of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The Right Scoop will have a live video feed here during both hearings.

So far there has been at least one exchange that will be talked about for a while:

On Wednesday, Johnson accused her of “purposefully misleading the American people” by blaming nonexistent protests.

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. If it was because of a protest or if it was because guys out for a walk decided to go kill some Americans. What difference does it make?” Clinton shot back in a raised voice.

Wow:

Clinton also testified that she “wasn’t involved in the talking points process.” If she wasn’t involved in writing the talking points, she was involved in reciting them.

If it didn’t make a difference what started the attack (or if they were unclear at the time), why was the administration so quick out of the box to blame the video?

Updates:

–Rand Paul: If I were president, I’d have relieved you of your post.

–More on “what difference does it make” here. Isn’t “what difference does it make” also the name of Tim Geithner’s tax prep software?

–Of course: Dick Durbin blames the attack on… Bush — the previous previous administration.

–And this:

Several Egyptian members of the squad of militants that lay bloody siege to an Algerian gas complex last week also took part in the deadly attack on the United States Mission in Libya in September, a senior Algerian official said Tuesday.

Flashback: Al Qaeda has been decimated.

–2:20 p.m.: The House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing is going on now. Dem Rep. Engel is trying to help out Hillary by agreeing with what she told the Senate committee regarding “what difference does it make.”
