We don’t fully know what’s happened yet, but Twitter is starting to light up with photos and reports of an explosion or explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. (scroll down for updates)

News reports on TV are saying that at least a dozen people have been hurt. Many runners had finished but there were still many running when the explosions occurred, and the race has been stopped.

More:

Twitchy has more.

This is how Fox News broke the story:

I’ve seen a number of extremely graphic photos from the scene.

Additional info coming in:

CBS reported that police found a third device and have detonated it.

Also, call off the investigation, because we already know who’s to blame:

Chris Matthews just thinkin’ aloud predictably, while Michael Moore does his usual thing.

Suspect in custody?

The New York Post reports that authorities have ID’d a suspect (“person of interest” — but nobody officially in custody at this time, according to the Boston police commissioner). As always, don’t put a lot of faith in early reports. But that didn’t prevent Wolf Blitzer from doing some speculating though.

More:

My cousin was running in the race and I think his wife went along as a spectator. My wife’s been trying to get them on the phone but so far the calls aren’t going through.

President Obama will reportedly speak at 6:10 p.m. eastern.

Summary of Obama’s statement here.

Horrible:

Update: CNN reporting that investigators have issued a “be on the lookout” advisory.

As of 10 p.m. eastern, Fox News is reporting three dead and about 100 injured.

Keep up with Twitchy for all the latest overnight and into tomorrow.
