Did You Know...

Photos of ‘persons of interest’ in Boston Marathon bombing circulated; Updated

The New York Post obtained photos of two “persons of interest” they say authorities are looking for as part of the investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings. Pictures of the men are here (note: see update II below). You’ll have to go to the link to look at the photos for yourself, because I won’t say anything remotely descriptive out of respect for Gwen Ifill.

So far nothing is known about any suspects who are reportedly wanted for questioning, other than Chris Matthews and Michael Moore are pretty sure they’re right wing tax protesting tea party types.

Update: I’m hearing that the men in the Post photo may have been cleared, but so far haven’t found a source link. I wouldn’t be surprised — very little coming out during this story has turned out to be solid information.

Also, the Boston Globe reported that authorities will release pictures to the public on Thursday showing two suspects. It’s unknown if they’re the same pictures (or people) as the ones the Post published (probably not).

Update II: “Federal law enforcement sources told ABC News they are no longer seeking information about Barhoun or the other man in the photo published in the Post.”

Update III: The FBI just released images of two suspects.

Related: If you missed it, Dennis Miller had a good segment on O’Reilly last night.

Also related: President Obama will be in Boston today for a memorial service:

The president and first lady Michelle Obama travel to Boston for an interfaith service, three days after a bombing that killed three and injured more than 170 people.

Obama will dedicate remarks “to those who were gravely wounded or killed in Monday’s bombing near the finish line of the Boston Marathon,” says the White House schedule.

The service is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
