Keep all the law enforcement authorities on the case in your prayers. They’ve been working non-stop all night. One officer on the MIT campus is dead. A gunfight and chase ensued into Watertown. At this hour, a house-by-house search in a perimeter area in Watertown is underway.
UPDATE: NBC’s Pete Williams now reports that the suspects are military-trained foreigners from Chechnya.
AP reports surviving suspect is Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.
Flashback: My past coverage of Chechen Muslim jihad terrorist attacks, from the Beslan Massacre to the 2010 Russian subway bombing horror to the Theo Van Gogh murder ties.
Update II (DP): The suspect who had been on the run, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, has been taken into custody. He’s currently reportedly in serious condition at Mass. General Hospital.
