Harry Reid: We’re going to need more funding to prevent a disastrous Obamacare rollout

The only way to prevent a train wreck is to repeal the entire law, but instead the first prescription Harry Reid is writing calls for regular doses of more funding:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says he shares colleagues’ concerns that the Affordable Care Act could become a “train wreck” if it’s not implemented properly.

Reid warned that people will not be able to choose health insurance plans on government health exchanges if federal authorities lack the resources to set them up and educate the public.

“Max [Baucus] said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck, and I agree with him,” Reid said, echoing a warning delivered last month by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.).

Reid warned the federal government is not spending enough money to implement the law because of Republican opposition to ObamaCare.

“Here’s what we have now, we have the menu but we don’t have any way to get to the menu,” Reid said.

Reid expected more cooperation from Republicans — after all, none of them voted for the Affordable Care Act. The Democrats, back when they were in charge of both the House and the Senate as well as having Obama in the White House, could have funded their train wreck at any level, but obviously they badly overestimated their own level of competence and are now looking to pin the blame on those who recognized from the start what a disaster this thing would be.

Word is that Harry Reid will inform President Obama of the need for more funding to avert a health care train wreck by taking out an ad on ESPN.

And here’s the obligatory advice from the honorary “Obamacare train wreck” mascot, Nancy Pelosi:
