At a fundraiser for Massachusetts Rep. and Senate candidate Ed “it’s not math, it’s just arithmetic” Markey, Joe Biden threw out some red meat for the audience, and redder meat for the Goracle:

With characteristic hyperbole, Biden introduced the former Vice President while praising his political career.

“This man was elected president of the United States of America,” Biden said according to the pool report. “No, no, no. He was elected president of the United States of America. But for the good of the nation, when the bad decision in my view was made, he did the right thing for the nation.”

Biden, a potential 2016 candidate for president, praised Gore’s decision to accept the Supreme Court’s decision and walk away from the presidency.

In Gore’s mind, Biden was spot on. To this day, every January, Gore delivers a State of the Union speech to his begonias.

Biden was, as usual, wrong, but he probably made Gore’s week.
