    I would like to know what Gomez said to prompt Markey’s rejoinder. That aside, isn’t that essentially what conservatives have been saying? That simple arithmetic shows that we have a spending problem. One side of the equation doesn’t equal the other-dims say its the revenue side, while conservatives say its the spending side. In a dispute like this it must be clear that the problem is marithmetic is on

In a dispute like this it must be clear that the problem is more than simple arithmetic. The condescension would be breathtaking if it weren’t so expected.
