One if by land, two if by Pelosi: ‘Modern day Paul Revere’ needed to warn of sequester, says House Minority Leader

“The slight decline in the rate of spending growth is coming!”

How she can say these things without laughing is absolutely amazing:

“I talk about the Fourth of July, about the health independence, but it’s also really time for us to sound the alarm,” Pelosi said during a press conference on Capitol Hill.

“If Paul Revere were here today, we would need someone like him to be running through the street saying, ‘Sequester is coming!'” She said. “Sequester is here, really,” she added.

I doubt Revere would have been a Pelosi ally:

Prior to the American Revolution he had been a member of the Sons of Liberty, a political organization that opposed incendiary tax legislation such as the Stamp Act of 1765…

Revere also took part in the Boston Tea Party, which these days might get him harassed by the IRS if the Sons of Liberty applied for 501(c)(4) status.

Update: Pelosi’s claim above shouldn’t be surprising coming from somebody who thinks we should use this Fourth of July to celebrate Obamacare.
