Did You Know...

Did you know that the Rolling Stones, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake were joining Stevie Wonder in boycotting Florida over the state’s “stand your ground” law? Neither did they:

The American Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan reported Monday that a source close to Wonder told her that top artists, including Usher, Timberlake, Jay Z and Kanye West, were joining the legendary singer-songwriter in boycotting the state following the George Zimmerman verdict.

Other acts reportedly boycotting the state included the Rolling Stones, Rihanna, and Madonna.
Mother Jones reached out to representatives for some of the artists, who reported that they were unaware of the reported boycott movement.

A source with knowledge of the situation told the magazine that Rihanna was not joining the reported boycott, and a spokesperson for the Rolling Stones said “nobody’s heard anything about this.”

And organizers of an Aug. 16 concert in Miami say that Jay Z and Justin Timberlake both still plan to perform, according to a television station there.

As long as Florida’s money spends the same as it does everywhere else, we’re unlikely to see this boycott spread too far in the entertainment community.

Who cares? Let them boycott.Florida will do fine without these liberal losers playing in their venues.

What about the other 39 states that have that law? Or will that cut into their pocket too deeply? Stick to singing for money and stay out of serious politics!
As for the George Zimmerman topic…he should change his name to Ben Gahzi then the administration won’t talk about him!

I have huge admiration for Stevie taking
a stand. It is simply the right thing to do. It would send a very powerful message for the Stones, Jay Z, Madona
and others to join him. I am from the sixties you have to stand up to these GOP clowns and ALEC.
There was a time when you could count
on artists to stand up to insanity.
In the words of John Lennon “DON’T
We can do this … truely we can.
