The list of women accusing San Diego Mayor Bob Filner — who is not a former colleague of Nancy Pelosi — of unwanted sexual advances is growing:

Four women, including a retired U.S. Navy admiral, publicly identified themselves Thursday as targets of Mayor Bob Filner’s unwanted sexual advances, as local Democratic party officials called on him to step down.

The latest accusers spoke with KPBS about inappropriate touching and comments and said they believe Filner is unfit for office and should resign immediately. Filner has said he has no intention to resign

The tally of victims accusing Filner of sexual harassment stood at seven late Thursday.

Ace adds: “I’m sure he didn’t make any ‘witty’ remarks about her being a Rear Admiral.” Not at all.

After these latest accusations, the San Diego County Democratic Party voted 34-6 to call for Filner’s resignation. The six who voted not to call on Filner to resign either don’t believe the accusations against the mayor or really enjoy having their bottoms smacked on the elevator.

In other news, Anthony Weiner refuses to drop out of the New York City mayoral race even as the number of women he sent graphic pictures to continues to increase.

We once again return you to your regularly scheduled Republican War on Women™.

Update: At a press conference today, Filner said he wasn’t going to resign, but would enter a two-week rehab to “become a better person.” Presumably part of his preventative therapy will involve tying his hands behind his back.
