Reminder: Obamacare will cover treatment for feelings of isolation and loneliness, but only if those conditions were contracted at Obamacare seminars.

Organizing for Action managed to neither organize or get much action at a Virginia event Sunday. A number of “Obamacare” forums were scheduled around the country with the supposed purpose of “educating” people about the upcoming train wreck implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

At one such event, one person showed up:

That means gatherings like today’s in Centreville — although OFA organizers surely had something else in mind. After a scheduling snafu over the start time, a few people showed up and left before it actually started. Just one volunteer stayed to help work the phone bank for the health law, and the event’s organizer bolted after 20 minutes — although he was bound for another Obamacare event, a house party.
[…]
The Centreville event’s lone attendee, Lynn Duvall of Fairfax, Va., told POLITICO that it was her family’s own medical burdens that fueled her passion for Obamacare.

If OFA wants larger turnouts for their health care law events, they’ll offer seminars on how to get out of Obamacare instead of into it.

The appropriate outro audio for this story:

Update:

Obamacare is already saving people… time on introductions.

Update II:

Interesting: Politico changed the headline from the original “Poor attendance at Obamacare event in Virginia” to “Obamacare message war goes local.”
