Has Matt Damon eaten his shoe yet over his ‘never been in a public school’ claim about the Bush family?

In a recent sole-searching interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, public school advocate Matt Damon tried to explain why he sends his kids to private school. His answer was Jay Carney-worthy: “…the private school that I send my kids to is the thing closest to the public school that I went to that I could find.” Damon also claimed that the public schools in Los Angeles aren’t progressive enough (pause for laughter).

Tapper asked Damon about Jeb Bush calling out his opposition to school choice while sending his kids to private schools, and Damon said “I’d eat my shoe if he [Jeb Bush] could name a Bush that ever even walked into a public school.”

Prepare to start chomping on those loafers, Matt:

Protip for Damon: Rockports please the palate with beef bouillon-esque flavor, and putting pasta sauce on the laces will make it easier to pretend it’s spaghetti.

At about the 1:05 mark of the video is an epic “homina homina homina” moment of hypocrisy spin glory:
