Dueling headlines: John Kerry vs. reality on Israel’s support for Iran nuke deal

Iran and six other countries including the U.S. struck a temporary deal last night (“when you’ve lost Chuck Schumer…”) that will reportedly lift some sanctions on Iran in return for Tehran agreeing to limit nuclear activity.

One of the countries not involved in the talks was Israel, but John Kerry said this morning they’re totally on board, as evidenced by our first headlines from ABC News:

Keeping Kerry’s “no daylight between the U.S. and Israel” claim in mind, dueling with that headline is this one from the Washington Post:

That’s not just “daylight” — it’s high noon in Phoenix.

However, the Israelis should be comforted by the fact that Iran’s compliance will be regularly reviewed by the same administration that green-lit HealthCare.gov.
