At the memorial service for Nelson Mandela, President Obama shook hands with Cuban dictator Raúl Castro. Watch the video below of the moment when Obama shook his hand and listen for CNN’s Christiane Amanpour to shout out “CASTRO” as if he’d just made the game-winning catch in the communist Super Bowl. Obama seemed enthusiastic about it as well.

Video via Weekly Standard. Keep in mind that Castro heads a country that still holds an American hostage:

Rumor has it that Obama told Castro “if you like your dictatorship, you can keep your dictatorship.” Somebody’s not going to get a good night’s sleep.

Hmm…I wonder if Castro was purposely placed standing in that spot? The way Amanapour said his name did excrete quite a bit of jubilance…no? Whatever. By the time the clock strikes midnight, fascinating political policy opinion will be soaking up the news media. Does this mean those great Cuban cigars will be easier to acquire? I’m getting my smoking jacket ready and lighting up the fireplace!
