Reuters wins ‘most ridiculous headline of the week’ award

It’s only Monday, so it’s a bit soon to declare a “most ridiculous headline of the week” winner, but I’m going to do it anyway:

Alternate headlines: “Catholic leader says something Catholic-sounding” — or — “Media outlet, in forced attempt to make Pope seem liberal, sensationalizes papal norm.”

Replace “Pope” with “Wendy Davis” and then Reuters would have had a shocking headline.

Update:

Reuters has revised the headline: “Pope, after conservatives’ criticism, calls abortion “horrific”

If anything that’s a little more ridiculous.
