There’s article at Gawker in which the author, Adam Weinstein, makes an argument for imprisoning “climate change deniers.”?

Man-made climate change happens. Man-made climate change kills a lot of people. It’s going to kill a lot more. We have laws on the books to punish anyone whose lies contribute to people’s deaths. It’s time to punish the climate-change liars.

The article is a “second that motion” to a philosophy professor’s previous suggestion that “climate change deniers” be put on trial for criminal negligence.

Hey, there’s precedent for such a move. Almost 400 years ago, a “consensus of the Roman inquisition” agreed that the earth was the center of the universe, but a “geocentrism denier” named Galileo wouldn’t stop spouting his heliocentric rubbish and was served an injunction. Turns out Galileo was right, but had he been imprisoned and others intimidated into silence, the Gore-style “consensus = fact” argument wouldn’t be full of so many holes.

OFA’s doing their part:

Not creepy at all.

It would be easy to root out the “deniers.” Just sit them down and show them things like this:

If they laugh, off to jail with the anti-Gore heretics!
