There have been many reports saying President Obama is attending a Democrat fundraiser right after speaking at a memorial for those killed at Fort Hood. That information isn’t accurate — the president won’t attend a single fundrasier. He’ll attend two fundraisers:

His first stop is the base near Austin, where Spc. Ivan Lopez, 34, carried out the rampage last week, killing three and wounding 16 before taking his own life.

Afterwards, Obama will put on his fundraiser-in-chief hat two two fundraisers tied into the trip. Having an official event helps cut the costs of Air Force One to the political committees.

Nancy Pelosi will reportedly attend one of the fundraisers, which will be held at the home of a noted 99-percenter and Dem donor:

The second event is a joint fund-raiser for the DSCC and DCCC. This will be at the home of trial lawyer John Eddie Williams Jr., a major Democratic donor. On background from a DSCC official: “President Obama will attend a joint event for the DSCC and DCCC at the home John Eddie and Sheridan Williams in Houston, Texas. Tickets for the event range between $16,200 and $64,800. DSCC Chairman Michael Bennet will also attend.
[…]
To get the background out of the way, the Williams spread is huge. It’s assessed on local tax rolls for $17.1 million. It has 26,463 square feet, four bedrooms, five full baths, seven half-baths, an elevator, five fireplaces.

Maybe Obama and Pelosi are only going there because they want to show Williams this and tell him to his face that they won’t allow the GOP to continue to give people like him tax cuts on the backs of “women & families.”:

That definitely won’t be part of tonight’s presentation — unless it’s in a “wink, nudge” kind of way.
