‘Nation of laws, not men’: Cliven Bundy forces Harry Reid into unconvincing impression of John Adams

Taking a short break from winking and waving at those in the country illegally while looking the other way as “the law” of Obamacare is unilaterally altered during implementation, Harry Reid cranked up the tough talk about Cliven Bundy while John Adams rolled over in his grave:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says “something is going to happen” to get Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy to stop letting his cattle graze on federal land.

“It’s obvious that you can’t just walk away from this. And we can speculate all we want to speculate to what’s going to happen next,” Reid told KSNV-TV. “But I don’t think it’s going to be tomorrow that something is going to happen, but something will happen. We are a nation of laws, not of men and women.”

Meanwhile, Al Sharpton’s group still owes almost $2 million in back taxes and President Obama headlined his conference this month. Any John Adams-ish reaction to that, Harry?

Related:

The government claims Bundy owes about $1.1 million, hence all the hullabaloo. But maybe the government needs to collect that amount to cover bonuses paid to IRS employees who owe or owed back taxes:

The IRS paid a total of about $1.1 million in bonuses over approximately a two-year period to more than 1,100 employees who had been disciplined for “substantiated federal tax compliance problems,” according to an inspector general’s report.

Apparent moral of the story: Cliven Bundy should have worked for the IRS and Harry Reid isn’t even qualified to be a tortoise inspector at Rancho del Lunatic.
