Behold the epic self-inflicted beclowning of Eleanor Clift: Ambassador Stevens was not murdered — he died of smoke inhalation

Before yesterday I wasn’t sure Eleanor Clift was still active in the political commentary game, figuring she’d retired or took a job as a cashier at the Clinton Library gift shop, but nope — she’s still being totally ridiculous.

This is the level of desperation some will sink to in order to argue against continued investigation of the Benghazi attack to protect the Obama administration and/or Hillary Clinton:

“I would like to point out Ambassador Stevens was not murdered. He died of smoke inhalation in the safe room in that CIA installation.”

Yes, it was a self-inflicted beclowning, but Jay Carney’s probably kicking himself for not having thought of that one.

Also notice that Clift is still blaming “the video.” Obviously Eleanor never got the “stand down” memo for that bogus talking point.

And finger quotes too? Really?

That Clinton Library gift shop cashier job is still open if you’re interested, Eleanor.
