Enviro-cult strongman Al Gore blames Koch brothers for ‘enforced orthodoxy’ of climate change denialism in GOP

Yesterday, David Axelrod interviewed a particularly fidgety Al Gore at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics. At times Gore looked as if he was in the dugout at Wrigley Field giving the signals for a double steal.

In any case, Gore projected his modus operandi onto opponents of his “settled science” by accusing Republicans of having an “enforced orthodoxy” of climate change denialism (via Twitchy and the Sun-Times):

“There is an enforced orthodoxy in the Republican Party” that goes against anyone who might utter “the slightest breath about sympathy for the truth about climate science,” said Gore, a global warming warrior who shone a light on the issue in the 2006 documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”
[…]
“They will face primary opponents financed by the Koch brothers and others who are part of their group. If they even breathe the slightest breath of sympathy for the truth about climate science” they’ll be essentially punished by the Koch brothers.

The Koch brothers? Global warming has turned Al Gore into Harry Reid. Somebody do something before it’s too late!

An accusation of “enforced orthodoxy” among people who don’t think Gore’s science is settled is pretty funny coming from a guy on the side with people who have called for “deniers” to be thrown in prison.

Because the Goracle was in Chicago and in such close proximity to the Great Lakes, hopefully he got a chance to update himself…
