Obama’s NYC fundraisers to go on as planned; World breathes sigh of relief

A Malaysia Airlines 777 went down in Ukraine today killing all 295 on board (some might have been U.S. citizens but that hasn’t yet been determined). According to Ukrainian officials, the plane was shot down.

You can’t help but wonder what would have to be happening to convince the White House to cancel fundraisers:

In Wilmington, Delaware, after monitoring events over a burger and fries at the Charcoal Pit (temporarily re-named “Situation Room NE”), Obama said the Malaysia Airlines jet going down “may be a terrible tragedy”:

May be”? And that was with a teleprompter.
