Good thing Obama’s a Democrat or this might be considered another salvo in the “war on women”:

A pregnant woman in labor was prevented from crossing an LA street Wednesday afternoon because the road was closed for President Barack Obama’s motorcade.

The woman was seen sitting a bus stop bench on the south side of 3rd Street just east of Robertson Boulevard. She needed to cross to get to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Reporters on the scene said the woman had to stay on the bench for about a half hour before she could get across the street to the hospital. The baby’s nickname should be “shared sacrifice.”

Video from Robert Kovacik of NBC4:

Naturally the White House economic spinners will include this woman as a beneficiary of Obama’s policies because the president helped keep her in the labor force as long as possible.
