President Obama called a presser earlier today to show off his new light tan suit and comfort the public about the fact that there is currently no strategy for defeating ISIS:

“I am confident that as commander in chief, I have the authority to engage in the acts that we are conducting currently. As our strategy develops, we will continue to consult with Congress, and I do think it will be important for Congress to weigh in, and that our consultations with Congress continue to develop so that the American people are part of the debate. But, I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet. What I’ve seen in some of the news reports suggests that folks are getting a little further ahead of where we’re at than we currently are. And I think that’s not just my assessment, but the assessment of the military as well,” Obama said.

Obama and the military’s assessment is that the news media’s reports of their ISIS strategy is ahead of where their strategy actually is, because there isn’t one? Ah, the old “if you think about it, choosing to not yet have a strategy is actually a strategy” strategy. Oh well, when you’re playing a JV team you don’t need to develop a game plan until about the middle of the 4th quarter anyway.

Here are interesting offsets:

Guess what there is a strategy for…

Anything less would have frankly been a disappointment.

By the way, the White House has a new official wardrobe provider:

In addition to Friday night’s fundraisers, add an MSNBC host’s wedding to the prez’s weekend itinerary.
