Good news: Obama says Ebola risk remains ‘low for ordinary folks’

Because there are many who believe the spread of Ebola can be stemmed by increasing the number of government officials making bad decisions, President Obama has been urged by John McCain and others to appoint an “Ebola Czar.” It sounds like that might happen:

“It may be appropriate for me to appoint an additional person,” to be the point person, the president told reporters at the White House after meeting with his Ebola response team for nearly two hours, as new information continued to develop about how health care workers at a Dallas hospital may not have been given proper training and equipment to deal with an Ebola patient there.
“I understand that people are worried. This is a disease that is new to our shores,” Obama said. But he underscored the limited scope of the outbreak right now, and that Ebola is a “very difficult disease to catch.”

How difficult is Ebola to catch? Well, that depends on how “ordinary” you are:

“The main thing everybody needs to focus on is the risks involved remain relatively low, extremely low, for ordinary folks.”

If you had “nurses” in the “ordinary folks” category, remove them right now.

The Obama administration doesn’t yet have an “Ebola Czar,” but they do have an “Ebola coordinator” who is a lawyer. The good news is she’s rumored to be far superior to Ebola’s attorney.

Did you see any of the Ebola hearing in the House today? CDC Director Tom Frieden didn’t plead the Fifth, so I lost a bet. Henry Waxman and other Dems continued to blame “GOP funding cuts” for Ebola coming to the U.S. Waxman managed to keep all four Pinocchios for that B.S. claim hidden in his nostrils for the duration of the hearing.

Here’s a parting thought, and pardon the language, but it was getting hot in my HazMat suit:
