Obama pulls fleeing Dems back in again: ‘These are all folks who vote with me’

Earlier this month, President Obama reminded voters that his policies are on the ballot next month, which caused a bit of panic in the Dem ranks.

Things are looking so grim that Obama even went on Al Sharpton’s sketch comedy show on MSNBC yesterday to preach to the liberal choir Dems fear will be staying home next month. In the process, Obama handed the GOP more arrows:

Describing the “tough map” that Democrats face in this year’s midterms, Obama told Sharpton, “A lot of the states that are contested this time are states that I didn’t win. And so some of the candidates there — it is difficult for them to have me in the state because the Republicans will use that to try to fan Republican turnout.”

“The bottom line though is, these are all folks who vote with me, they have supported my agenda in Congress,” Obama added, citing the minimum wage and fair pay as issues on which they all agree. “This isn’t about my feelings being hurt, these are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me,” the president said.

Some Dems on the ballot next month are not only hiding the fact they have or would vote in support of Obama’s agenda — but at least one doesn’t even want to admit she voted for Obama.

Obama, however, has no intention of letting them off that easily. Pass the popcorn.
