Hillary Clinton shores up the lefty base: Businesses don’t create jobs — gov’t raising the minimum wage does!

Hillary Clinton (D-eadBroke) was in Massachusetts Friday to campaign for Martha Coakley. Also campaigning for Coakley was Elizabeth Warren, a fellow traveler with those in the “you didn’t build that” movement.

Obviously Hillary realizes Warren could be one of her obstacles to the 2016 Dem nomination, because she’s starting to try and steal a share of Fauxcahontas’ socialist street cred.

Video by way of the Washington Free Beacon, transcript via me:

“Don’t let anybody tell you that raising the minimum wage will kill jobs. They always say that. I’ve been through this — my husband gave working families a raise in the 1990’s — I voted to raise the minimum wage, and guess what: Millions of jobs were created or paid better, and more families were secure. That’s what we want to see here, and that’s what we want to see across the country. And, don’t let anybody tell you that, you know, it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs. You know that old theory, trickle-down economics — that has been tried, that has failed — it has failed rather spectacularly.”

Corporations and businesses only create jobs when they’re paying Hillary Clinton a six-figure check to speak to them — otherwise, they’re a hindrance to “progress.” Just ask the Labor Secretary.
