Jen Psaki sent out to spin the Bergdahl debacle for Obama (Susan Rice is apparently indisposed for some reason)

The U.S. Army announced Wednesday that it would charge Bowe Bergdahl with desertion and misbehaving before the enemy. Last year, President Obama feted Bergdahl’s parents in the White House Rose Garden while announcing the deal to secure the release (Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob has yet to meet a Gitmo detainee who shouldn’t be set free).

So far, the only White House official who has any credibility on this issue is the person who hasn’t started working there yet, so Team Obama sent outgoing State Department spokesperson and incoming White House Communications Director Jen Psaki to lead the spin:

The Obama administration’s incoming communications director said Wednesday the decision to trade Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban leaders last year was the right move, hours after he was charged with desertion.

“Was it worth it? Absolutely,” Jen Psaki told Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File.” “We have a commitment to our men and women serving in the military, defending our national security every day, that we’re going to do everything to bring them home if we can, and that’s what we did in this case.”

Psaki’s comments were the first from an administration official since the charges were announced earlier in the day.

Psaki will likely be the go-to person for the administration from here on in because for some reason Susan Rice’s credibility is more shot to hell than Joe Biden’s front door after he thought there was an intruder on the other side:

For the record, Michelle sounded the alarm about the Bergdahl story almost six years ago.

Psaki’s got her work cut out for her:
