Did You Know...

Hillary’s really running with her new effort to be funnier

Hillary Clinton’s campaign wants their candidate to be funnier and more spontaneous, and Hillary certainly stuck the landing on the former during a taping of the Ellen Show:

It was “allowed by the State Department,” said the woman who was in charge of the State Department. Nixon must be kicking himself for not going with the “what I did was fine because it was allowed by the White House” angle.

But even though everything was aboveboard, Clinton apologized for doing nothing wrong:

“That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility,” Mrs. Clinton said in an interview with David Muir of ABC News broadcast Tuesday night. “And I’m trying to be as transparent as I possibly can.”

The Clinton campaign has even set up a page to put all the lies in one convenient spot. You can read all of the emails that Team Hillary chose not to delete. Transparency!

Speaking of Hillary’s transparency…

Secretary of State Clinton in 2012:

“The cure for corruption is openness,” Clinton said in her remarks opening the meeting, which takes place Tuesday and Wednesday in Brasilia, Brazil. “By belonging to the Open Government Partnership, every country here is sending a message to their own people that we will stand for openness.”

Fast forward to Tuesday:

Secretary of State John Kerry has named a new czar to improve transparency at the State Department as the agency struggles to overcome archaic recordkeeping practices and glacial handling of public records requests — shortcomings exposed by the continuing furor over Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email account as America’s top diplomat.

Ambassador Janice Jacobs will assume the newly created position of “transparency coordinator,” Kerry said in a statement Tuesday.

Bonus points: The State Dept’s new “transparency czar” is a Hillary donor.

Hillary’s currently attempting to remake her image, and the only way she could do that would be to erase the last few decades from our memory, like with a cloth or something.

What sparked Hillary’s pivot to “sincerity”? A bad focus group review, of course:

Last week, Mrs. Clinton’s aides showed a video of that news conference to a New Hampshire focus group of independents and Democrats, according to a Democrat briefed on the focus group whose account was confirmed by a person in her campaign. Participants said they wanted to hear more from Mrs. Clinton about the issue.

The focus group also showed that the email issue was drowning out nearly everything else that Mrs. Clinton was hoping to communicate to voters — something Mrs. Clinton and her husband have complained about to friends.

Hillary’s managed to make her campaign a parody of a parody of a farce. But at least she’s living up to the pledge to be funnier.
