Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards gets big bucks to avoid reality, example #4,493

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards gave this answer at today’s House hearing:

Really? This was less than three weeks ago:

Two women who survived abortions told a congressional hearing that Planned Parenthood, which is being investigated over its abortion and fetal tissue activities, already misleads people about what it does.

Planned Parenthood says it is for women’s rights, said Gianna Jessen, who showed pictures of a burned fetus around the same age as her, when she was born at 7½ months after a failed saline abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in 1977.

Those running today’s hearing should have shown Richards video from the above testimony, but she’d probably have just claimed the footage was heavily edited and misleading.

Furthermore:

The federal government confirms a large number of babies survive failed abortions. In 2011, the CDC recorded 1,298 cases of infant death in the U.S. due to “Other perinatal conditions,” which includes ICD-10 category P96.4, death subsequent to a failed “termination of pregnancy.”

I don’t know what Richards does to “earn” her nearly $600-grand salary — some of it provided unwillingly by taxpayers who oppose what they stand for (or don’t stand for, depending on how you look at it) — but her ability to dodge reality is obviously a skill valuable to PP supporters.
