Hypocritical, smug, condescending, egotistical, and arrogant are annoying qualities, but John Kerry manages to juggle them all with a skill that puts Anthony Gatto to shame:

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is mocking climate change doubters who downplay the effect of rising sea levels.

Speaking to a U.N. Foundation meeting in Paris on the health of the world’s oceans, Kerry took his criticism a step further Tuesday, saying the refusal to recognize the threat is “insane” and “insulting to everything we learned in high school about science.”

“We have people who still deny this: Members of the flat earth society who seem to believe that the ocean rise won’t be a problem because the water will just spill over the edge,” Kerry said to appreciative laughter from the audience that included U.N. Foundation founder Ted Turner.

Kerry is in Paris to attend U.N. climate talks aimed at producing an agreement by the end of the week to fight global warming.

Stuff it, Lurch.

Kerry arrived in Paris after flying coach on a commercial airline, right? Of course not:

Somebody doesn’t believe his own apocalyptical BS.

A reminder of the lifestyle of “Mr. Climate” from 2004:

In winter, he goes helicopter skiing while staying at his wife’s Idaho retreat, a 15th-century farmhouse transported from England and reassembled on the banks of the Big Wood River in Sun Valley. In summer, he windsurfs and sails off the coast of Nantucket, where she has another home. The couple have an 18th-century town house in Boston where the kitchen is two stories high. There is a 23-room town house in Washington, an 88-acre Pittsburgh area estate, a private Gulfstream jet and a personal staff of six, including caretakers and a cook.

And in closing…

The wind-up:

Pitch #1:

null

Pitch #2:

null

No wonder they’re friends — they something in common: Titanic hypocrisy
