Tonight is President Obama’s final State of the Union address.

I’ll miss the humility most:

null

Here’s a preview the White House provided (soap opera organ music courtesy of Charles Paul):

Obama’s entrance will prove to be epic. I won’t give away too much, but it involves dry ice, lighting equipment borrowed from Laser Zeppelin and Biden firing legacy propaganda into the audience from a t-shirt cannon.

SC Gov. Nikki Haley will deliver the GOP response. Debbie Wasserman Schultz thinks she knows why:

“It’s pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem,” Wasserman Schultz said on a conference call previewing the speech.

The old white people running for the Dem nomination nodded in agreement.

Open thread for discussion if you’re watching. Even if you’re not. And remember: He still has over a year to go and has pledged to squeeze every ounce of Change™ out of his final year. By the time he leaves office America will have been perhaps irretrievably juiced.
