Sunday night I started getting some flu symptoms and it went from bad to worse from there (and remains in a holding pattern over “worse”), but I wanted to make sure to mention the big story of the day before quickly returning to the couch, VapoRub and Netflix.

Did you see this one coming?

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, endorsed Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, providing Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state’s caucuses.

“Are you ready to make America great again?” Ms. Palin said with Mr. Trump by her side at a rally at Iowa State University. “Are you ready to stump for Trump? I’m here to support the next president of the United States – Donald Trump.”

Team Cruz is disappointed, but are they surprised? Allahpundit at HotAir writes that Palin chose populism over conservatism, which is clear. And Trump will gladly welcome Palin talking him up in Iowa with the caucus just a couple weeks away because, like Trump, where Palin goes, the media goes, and they know it:

Cruz took the high road:

Consider this an open thread and add whatever else you want to talk about. Hopefully I’ll be back to being remotely functional before too long.
