Not to cause a general panic or anything, but today is “point of no return” day according to Al Gore.

From Anthony Watts:

While preening at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2006 during the premiere of his “An Inconvenient Truth” fib-umentary, Gore made his grand declaration. The former vice president said, in the words of the AP reporter taking down his story, that

“unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return.” In Gore’s own words, he claimed we were in “a true planetary emergency.”

Watts has also dismantled Gore’s famous propaganda film here.

Rush Limbaugh’s countdown clock has been going since Gore’s dire prediction a decade ago:

Get your affairs in order folks, because there’s no telling what probably won’t happen when that thing hits zero.

And Gore’s defense for his prediction failure can’t be that we’ve successfully “acted,” because according to him it’s just getting worse every single year. See a pattern here?

Gee, do you think 2016 will be the “hottest year on record”? The suspense is killing me!
