In a Bernie Sanders presidency, Memorial Day would be an extra special tribute to… big government

If you didn’t see Sunday night’s Democrat debate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, first of all, congratulations! But amid all the inadvertent examples of why the Obama presidency has been an abject failure, Bernie Sanders, in his closing statement, remembered the reason America is great: The men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect our freedom bloated government:

“We need in this country a political revolution where ordinary people stand up and reclaim the government that men and women fought and died for,” Sanders says.

Your socialism is showing! How many US vets’ epitaphs say that they gave their lives “for the cause of big government”? You pronounced “freedom” wrong, Bernie — but we’re used to it:

They fought and died protecting and defending the ideal of free college, artificial minimum wage increases and executive branch overreach?
