Overnight open thread for talk about tonight’s primaries…

Donald Trump won Michigan and Mississippi. Kasich and Cruz are running close for 2nd in Michigan, and Cruz was the solid runner-up in Mississippi (update: Idaho has been called for Cruz). Trump’s firmly in the driver’s seat on the GOP side at this point.

Hillary Clinton took Mississippi by a wide margin, but she sure felt the Bern in Michigan.

I know a couple Republicans here who voted for Sanders because they wanted to throw a wrench in Hillary’s chances at the White House and figured Trump was going to win anyway — a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy if you ask me, but that kind of thing no doubt contributed to Sanders’ upset win (even though they’ll pretty much split the delegates, and that’s if Sanders is lucky).

Hillary’s going to have to ramp up her socialist rhetoric game in coming days and weeks. Maybe she’ll create a “SWAT team” for that.
