GOP convention night 3: Cruz control (open thread)

Night three of the GOP convention has begun, and here’s a spot to let loose about it while triggered Dems recover from last night’s chant to lock Hillary up in jail (doesn’t Chris Christie know that jailing political opponents is only intended to be used by Dems against climate change deniers?)

Tonight: Ted Cruz will speak, Marco Rubio will address the crowd via video, and of course Mike Pence will accept the VP nomination. Cruz hasn’t endorsed and I’m not sure he will. John Kasich was last spotted at a convenience store in Dayton telling the clerk his father was a mailman.

At least one protester outside today was hell bent to win a Darwin award:



Another moron saved by first responders who will never have the capacity to recognize the irony.


I subtitled this post “Cruz Control,” and it turned out that a lot of the talk tonight was indeed about Cruz’s speech, which wasn’t well received by Trump supporters. Notice at the end of this clip Trump himself came out to draw attention away from what was happening — or wasn’t happening as it were:
