The media’s certainly helping Obama tone down ‘Hope & Change’ expectations

The media’s defense of President Obama’s vacationing is pathetically hilarious. They helped sell his original message of “Hope & Change” and as being a president who wouldn’t rest until everybody had a good job while the whole world joined hands and sang Peter, Paul and Mary songs. Now those same people are defending Obama against his critics by pointing out that he’s no different than his predecessors.

The Associated Press has done its part as well.

Welcome to Lowered Expectations, population: MSM.

“‘Hope & Change,’ just like every other president” trumpets the media these days. 47.2 percent of voters in 2012 knew what was going to happen because it had already started happening. Others wouldn’t care if Obama went para-sailing every single day with John Kerry if the wheels weren’t so obviously falling off due to arrogance and incompetence.

One constant has been a shrinking but still sizable band of lapdog media types who are reduced to spinning Obama’s detachment and woes as “it happens to everybody” like a disappointed-but-consoling partner in the costliest Cialis ad in history.
