BIG PIMPIN’
The Wonkette-ization of the Washington Post continues. I’ve just learned that the Post is planning a Washington Post Magazine front-page cover story on Jessica Cutler because, you know, she just hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves. Here’s the e-mail I received from April Witt, a Post staff writer:

Subject: Townhall Comment: Jessica CutlerMichelle, I’m a staff writer at The Washington Post. I read your piece on Jessica Cutler. I’d like very much to interview you for a story I’m writing. If you are willing, could you e-mail me at witta@washpost.com or telephone me…with contacts numbers for you? Regards, April Witt
After speaking on the phone with her briefly to find out what the article would focus on and also alerting her to a young conservative women’s event on Capitol Hill where I will be speaking on the “Girls Gone Wild” culture, I sent the following:

Subject: Regarding your Cutler pieceHi April - I’ve thought about whether I want to comment for your story, and I’ve decided against doing so. I am truly disturbed you are giving Cutler an entire Washington Post Magazine cover story, and I do not want to be a part of your newspaper’s continued pimping of Skankette (y’all are doing it just fine on your own). Sure, it is being written under the guise of “exploring the social forces that created her.” But you will have the obligatory photo spread, I’m sure. Not materially different than Maxim or Playboy. Would love to be proved wrong.
If you want to attend the conservative women’s event I told you about yesterday, here is more info. Even better, if someone from your newspaper wants to do a stand-alone feature on my speech or a Washington Post magazine cover story on the Clare Booth Luce Institute–look, a group of non-promiscuous women working in Washington who don’t accept money for anal sex!–I would be happy to talk further.
Best,
Michelle

You friggin’ RAWK Malkin.
R-A-W-K. Rawk!
Thank you, Michelle.
Heh! “a group of non-promiscuous women working is Washington who don’t accept money for anal sex!”
Did you have to toss the liberals a softball like that?
Uh, you may also want to edit out your email address - unless that’s one you don’t care about spammers and haters having?
Actually, Michelle is such a stand-up girl that she freely publicizes her actual email address. We know for sure it produces some hate mail, as she printed an appalling example in a post a few days ago. But Michelle is not one to be intimidated by haters (let alone spammers), which is one reason we love her!
Thank you, Michelle!
So this lady gets famous for having anal sex for $400 a pop?
I wonder if the article will mention whether or not her rates have gone up.
Oh, brother. Doesn’t the Washington Post have a Paul Bremer speech to cover? Oh, wait.
The last paragraph of that e-mail was priceless, Ms. Malkin!
ummm…that last line of the email kind of insinuates that they are working washington women that only give anal sex for free, but DON”T accept any money…..
just kiddin’ Michelle!
Michelle, You are awesome.
Hats off to you.
So when asked to comment on something, you just pitch yourself and your stories. And then share it with the rest of us. what wonderful indignation.
Non-promiscuous, non-anal sex money makers ARE everywhere in Washington, which is why they’re not news. Anyone who wants to hear about one can just go meet them.
I’d say the news on washingtoniene is that she does seem to have a strange sort of DC morality — she refuses to out the Bush appointee that paid her for sex. I think thats BIG news, and very moral for this town.
(A slight, respectful bow)
Were that more like you were around.
Good for you, Michelle!
I can’t tell you how much I respect you for taking a stand like that.
Doesn’t Wonkette’s husband work at the Post??
Can’t see what Ms. Cutler has done to merit that kind of attention from the Washington Post. There’s gotta be no more than, say, 2 or 3 hundred more deserving young women in Washington. You know - the young disciplined ones that know have to volunteer for the good cause of their choice and don’t make any noise about it.
But I digress. You did good, pilgrim!
I’m so proud of you.
Look, I don’t dispute the ubiquity of the “Girls Gone Wild” culture, nor do I dispute its vacuousness. I do, however, find conservative hand-wringing about the matter to be much ado about nothing. Here’s a hint: Try positive argumentation. Tell us why your vision for society is better and let the best idea win. That’s right, I’m a South Park Republican and proud of it. I prefer the competing lifestyles vision to the “whatever the Southern Baptist Convention deems appropriate” vision.
*LOL* You are a trip. This Wonkette feud might be your calling. It gets funnier everytime you update it.

$400 bucks!
Sheesh the prices are going down.
Jessica who’s this now…?
Hey Michelle,
That promo pic of you on your blog is soooo hot; it seems pretty prurient and salacious to me. The windswept hair; the pout; looking right at the camera (one of the most time-tested devices employed by photographers to intimate eroticism incidentally.) Gosh, (said with big blinking doe eyes,) I would have to be pretty cynical to think that photo is employing these sexual undertones as part of the Malkin brand.
Gee, looking at the Post’s “history of prize-winning journalism”, I was struck by the wording of this one:
2004 - for International Reporting, by Anthony Shadid for his extraordinary ability to capture, at personal peril, the voices and emotions of Iraqis as their country was invaded.
“invaded” ?!? How about “liberated”, you asshats!
Michelle, I think you should do some guest appearances in Frank J.’s “In My World” series. I see you as a complement to the Rumsfeld Strangler - the Malkin Eviscerator.
Another example of the perverted Left trying to “moralize” the rest of us with such an article, then using you as their example of a frothy-mouthed conservative who just wants to spoil everybody’s fun- and all of their precious made-up rights. Poo. Good call, Ms. Malkin.
You go, girl!
MTT: Attractive features are not the fault of the attractive. The converse is true, of course, for ugly people.
Would it be more acceptable if she posted a picture with her hair sticking up and with unbrushed teeth?
Juliette, you are missing MTT’s point. He is saying that since Michelle is totally cute (I dunno, is it proper to refer to a married woman and mother as a “babe?”) she is being hypocritical to disapprove of Wonkette’s cheesy whoring.
Wow, good one. What a zinger! Having an attractive picture is the same as being a prostitute. Glad all of my photos look dorky, that makes me a pillar of moral rectitude.
This is GREAT! Nice letter. Keep it up.
Excellent and hysterical letter, Michelle!!! Glad to see at least one conservative willing to take the gloves off and go for the knockout punch. Now, would you please proceed over to Capitol Hill and teach some of our spineless “Republican representatives” how to do this?
(quotes since their status as Republicans and representatives are both in serious question)
April’s now given up her job at the Post for streetwalking.
Michelle! You go, Girl! You’re my hero(ine)!
Ahh, I’d like to go to the CLB Policy Inst. event. It would be great to get to hear you speak.
If I have a chance, I’ll introduce myself as that weird girl in the basement that has a blog. =)
Michelle you are my hero.
I’m remembering once again why I dropped my subscription to the Post some twenty years ago.
Actually, I’d never heard of this Jessica Cutler until I read your post and followed the link. Shows how out of the leftie culture I am, I guess.
Michelle, would you please consider
writing a kick-ass book that fully
examines the absolute fraudulence of
the left’s claim that promiscuity
empowers women and teenaged girls? As
you know, nothing could be further from
the truth.
You would be the ideal author to expose
the staggering cost that each of us
either directly or indirectly pays for
this extreme deception.
Thanks,
Chris Ashworth
All this Wonkette-bashing is embarrasin. You should keep all your wonkette-envy under (tight) wraps. Better yet, don’t hate, appreciate.
Wonkette-envy?
First of all, the focus is on Cutler, a woman who took $400 bucks for a pop in the can, not the woman who held her out to the world like a heroine, and then proceeded to irrevocably wed herself to the narrative with “exclusive” coverage and carefully stages faux-lez photos that were conventiently stolen from an unguarded server by “accident,” AT THE HEIGHT OF THE SCANDAL.
Oh wait, now I’m Wonkette bashing. What an envious hater I am.
I would buy a copy of the Washington Post (rather than reading it online for free) if the magazine section had a story about Michelle. I would buy several copies if there were photos. Does anyone know if she has an available sister? ;o)
What I don’t understand about Wonkette is her odd endorsement of Cutler as some sort of empowering Beltway symbol that women can make their own choices about their lives, etc. (ad nauseum), while at the same time she calls the Bush twins Skanks.
So far as I’m aware, the Bush twins are not paid for sex.
