INTRODUCING THE IMMIGRATION BLOG
Please take a moment to visit my new group blog offshoot, The Immigration Blog. I’ve invited a few of the writers, researchers, and citizen activists I consider among the most compelling and insightful analysts on immigration and border security to join me in this new venture. Those joining me are:
-Bonnie Eggle
-Peter Gadiel
-Chris Kelly
-Heather Mac Donald
-Juan Mann
-David Orland
-Bryan Preston
Our specialties vary and our political views are not uniform. But we share a common interest in exposing chaotic, selective, or pretend enforcement of immigration laws driven by political panderers and multicultural extremists. We’ll be covering breaking news, making news, providing political and legislative analysis, reporting on immigration controversies abroad, and bringing you a one-stop shop for the best border/immigration resources online. Learn more about The Immigration Blog contributors here.
As regular readers know, I’ve been covering the immigration/border security beat since my years in Los Angeles in the early 1990s and with increased intensity since 9/11. I believe April 2005 will be a watershed month for pro-enforcement forces. On April 1, the Minuteman Project will launch a month-long monitoring program at the southern border. Thousands of volunteers are expected, and contrary to what you hear from the MSM smear merchants, the Minutemen have wide support among rank-and-file border agents and retired immigration enforcement personnel alike.
Then, at the end of the month, a group of the nation’s most influential conservative radio talk show hosts will bring thousands of their listeners and supporters to Washington to push for real border security (more on the “Hold Their Feet To The Fire” campaign, which I’m honored to be attending, here). These two efforts will place an unprecedented amount of grass-roots pressure on the White House to reckon with the consequences of its open borders policies.
Readers ask me “What can I do?” and express frustration with their inability to make a difference in the immigration debate. Quit complaining. Support one of these citizen efforts. Or start your own. Read up on what made the Prop. 200 campaign in Arizona a winner. Then start your own. Read our blog. Or start your own.
Your country’s sovereignty and security are in your hands.
