Pay attention to the Commentary award. As I wrote in December:

John Patrick Shanley has won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for drama for “Doubt.”

Julia Keller of the Chicago Tribune has won the Pulitzer Prize for feature writing.

Kim Murphy of the Los Angeles Times and Dele Olojede of Newsday have won the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting.

Nick Anderson of The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., has won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning.

Joe Morgenstern of The Wall Street Journal has won the Pulitzer Prize for criticism.

Steve Coll has won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for general non-fiction for “Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001.

Ted Kooser has won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for poetry for “Delights and Shadows.”

The Associated Press has won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography.

Tom Philp of The Sacramento Bee has won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing.

Steven Stucky has won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for music for “Second Concerto for Orchestra.”

Gareth Cook of The Boston Globe has won the Pulitzer Prize for explanatory journalism.

Marilynne Robinson has won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for fiction for “Gilead.”

Deanne Fitzmaurice of the San Francisco Chronicle has won the Pulitzer Prize for feature photography.
